How we help · SURE
From the operating table back to the playing field.
The work of the Trust sits under SURE (Sports Surgery, Rehabilitation and Empowerment), helping athletes go from the operating table back to the playing field.
SURE is the surgery, rehabilitation and empowerment pillar of the HSI programme, and Ortho-Aid Charitable Trust funds the athlete support under SURE.
Apply or get referred
If you are an athlete, you can apply or you can be referred by a coach or an academy.
Subsidised surgery
Athletes currently enrolled in HSI are treated by Ortho-One's team of consultants who have performed 25,000+ arthroscopy surgeries.
Rehabilitation
After surgery, athletes receive structured physiotherapy and recovery support, with advanced rehabilitation through ABTP, the facility for physical excellence by Abhinav Bindra.
Return to play
A planned, safe return to high-performance sport is put in place once athletes complete the stipulated period of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. SURE’s empowerment focus continues after recovery through guidance, confidence-building and continued access to the HSI athlete support network.
