This is a new procedure that of late was gained popularity due to its success rate. A large proportion of patients have severe arthritis affecting only one half of the knee joint. The other half is normal. Why replace a part which is not affected. Only the affected half of the knee joint is replaced.

Following the procedure, patients are able to walk quickly and leave the hospital in a couple of days. The rehabilitation is much faster than total knee replacement.
