The Times of India along with FICCI and TANCARE organized the launch of Coffee Table Book on December 20th, 2016 (Tuesday). Ortho-One Orthopaedic Speciality Centre was awarded the “Beacons of Care” for the outstanding services rendered in the field of Sports Medicine.
The event was attended by MD’s and CEO’s of private Medical Hospitals, Senior Independent Doctors and Consultants, Hospital Administrators, Heads of various departments of many specialty Medical Centers and Professionals from Medical Institutions and allied Health service providers.
The Conference also had discussions on critical issues such as the quality of healthcare delivered in the District, aspects of technology that act as differentiators for enhancing access and affordability in healthcare delivery and how many women have turned out leaders in the healthcare Industry.
A Special Program on how to “Stop Sports Injuries” was held on January 7, 2016 (Saturday) at The Coimbatore Cosmopolitan Club. Ortho-One participated along with The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Cyber City and Rotary Club of Coimbatore Midtown. Approximately 200 delegates including Coaches, Athletes, and Parents of future aspiring Athletes participated. There were so many talks and video clippings that were shown on how to prevent Sports Injuries.
Ortho-One has now inaugurated one more brand new Out-patient Facility at 72, Everserve Enclave, Sims Park Road, Coonoor – 643101. On August 6, 2016 the facility was grandly opened by a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Tea Board Director Mr. C. Paulrasu, IAS was the honourable Chief Guest. Dr. James Gnanadoss gave an inspirational speech which was followed by an encouraging message from Dr. David V. Rajan, Chairman of Ortho-One.
It was interesting to listen to the Chief Guest, Mr. C.Paulrasu who shared a few thoughts with the gathering.
The entire event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Suneetha Rajan. The overall ceremony began in a grand way which ended on a very encouraging and positive note.
Actor Ajith Kumar, who underwent knee surgery at a private hospital in Chennai on November 12, has been advised complete rest for the next three months.
The surgery was originally planned for November 24 but had to be advanced because Ajith couldn’t bear the pain.
“The surgery was performed by Dr David Rajan at Kumaran hospital on Thursday night. The surgery started around 7.30 pm and went on till 2.30 am on Friday. Post the surgery, Ajith was immediately shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where he’s doing fine,” a source from the hospital told IANS.
Ajith injured his knee while shooting the climax sequence of his Tamil film Vedalam, which is successfully running in cinemas.
“He has been advised rest for three months. He may not start working on his next Tamil film until June 2016,” the source added.
The source also revealed that Ajith’s next film will also be with Siva, the director of his latest release Vedalam.
“They’re most likely to collaborate for the third time. The project was planned while they were working on Vedalam, and it’s expected to go on floors in the second half of next year,” he said..
