Ortho One has an exclusive Radiology Department that caters to the need for radiological investigations in all branches of orthopaedics including Sport Medicine, Joint Replacement, Paediatric Orthopaedics and Spine Surgery.
Functioning under the leadership of Dr. T R Krishnan, the department is manned by 5 fully trained radiographers and is well-equipped with
- COMED TITAN 2000 Digital Radiography System
- SIEMENS Emotion Single Slice CT Scan Machine
- Two Mobile C-Arm Machines.
Radiology Equipment & Uses:
The CT Scan machine is used for:
- Delineation of fracture patterns and fracture anatomy
- Imaging of primary tissue pathology
- Reconstructive imaging for primary and postoperative cases
- Comprehensive trauma survey for poly trauma patients
The Ultrasound machine is used in:
- Sports Medicine for
- Rotator Cuff injury of shoulder
- Tendo Achilles injuries of the ankle
- Injuries around the knee including sprains and hematoma
- Paediatric Orthopaedics for
- Evaluation of dysplasia of the hip
- Evaluation of paediatric infections and swellings
- Evaluation of swellings and wounds in trauma.
- Evaluation of circulatory disturbances of the upper and lower limbs including Venous Thrombosis.
The C-Arm machines are used for emergency and intra-operative management of fractures.
A centralized PACS system is installed to enable real time viewing of digital images without the need for physical image prints.
