Diet Clinic
Dietetic services are an integral part of patient care at Ortho One. As food plays a major role in recovery and recuperation, our in-house dietician will assess and determine the patient's diet during the hospital stay.
All dietary advice is made in the presence of the patient along with the attendant and diet counseling is done according to the patient's nutritional assessment, food habits and therapeutic needs.
- For In-patients: All ward referrals for diet advice by the consultants are assessed and diet advice is given accordingly by the dietician.
- For OPD Patients: The dietician suggests a diet plan according to the medical problem, weight, food habits, calorie needs and requirements of the patient.
The Diet Clinic is located on the first floor at Ortho One, as part of the Physiotherapy unit. Clinic Hours: 11AM - 1PM; 2PM - 6PM.
Dietary Services
The Dietetics Unit at Ortho One caters to the needs of all in- patients by providing Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Tea and Dinner, prepared in the best possible hygienic conditions. The unit also takes care of the supervision, guidance and training of the staff involved in the procurement, cooking and distribution of food.
The timings of the food served to the patients are as follows
- Breakfast: 7.30am - 8.30am
- Lunch: 12.30pm - 1.30pm
- Evening Tea: 4pm - 5pm
- Dinner: 7.00pm - 7.30pm
Extra Food Trays
Extra food trays for the patient's visitors/attendants may be requested at least two hours prior to the scheduled meal services. Extra charges for the attendant's food are applicable.
