Dr. Easwar T.R, DNB(Orth.), MNAMS

Dr. Easwar T R is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Paediatric Orthopaedics, Limb Deformity Correction, Spine & Scoliosis Surgery.

He completed his National Board of Examinations Postgraduate Training in Orthopaedics at Medical College, Thiruvanathapuram, Kerala and was awarded the prestigious Prof. Balu Sankaran Gold Medal in Orthopaedic Surgery by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. He underwent sub-specialty training under the personal mentorship of Prof. K. Sriram, renowned Senior Paediatric Orthopaedic and Spine Surgeon at Chennai for 2 years.

Dr. Easwar was trained in the foundations of Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery and Spine Surgery in children and adults by Prof. K. Sriram and Dr. Vijay Sriram. After completing the ISAKOS Arthroscopy Fellowship in 2008 at Ortho One, he continued to be associated with the centre. He completed an Observership at Alfred I.Dupont Hospital, Wilmington, Delaware, USA with Dr. Mackenzie and Dr. Freeman Miller to observe treatment of Skeletal Dysplaisas (short stature/ dwarfism) and Cerebral Palsy children. He was awarded the Honorary Fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedics by the National University Hospital, Singapore in 2009. Training closely with Prof. Lee Eng Hin, A/ Prof. James Hui he enhanced his skills in Paediatric Orthopaedics, Neuromuscular scoliosis and Paediatric Deformity Correction. The opportunity for close interaction with renowned surgeons like Prof. John A. Herzenberg, further enriched the training experience.

Subsequently, Dr. Easwar completed his Clinical fellowship in Spine and Scoliosis Surgery and another Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric Orthopaedics & Deformity Correction from Korea University Medical Centre, Seoul, South Korea under the mentorship of renowned surgeons Prof. Suh Seung Woo and Prof. Hae Ryong Song. He is actively involved in Clinical Research into Scoliosis and Paediatric Deformities including limb lengthening and Ilizarov method in children.
